Speech 2 Option 1 Introduce a Speaker
Speech of Introduction. This is a speech in which you introduce to your audience a featured speaker. Assume that you have the responsibility for bringing to campus a featured speaker for the freshman convocation held every Fall. You may choose any featured speaker you think would be appropriate for such an occasion. The speaker must be living and someone who the majority of your audience would recognize by name or reputation. Your task is to write and deliver a three to five minute speech introducing the featured speaker you have chosen to the assembled audience. You must include a minimum of three sources of information on your topic in your list of Works Cited and cite all of them orally in your speech. This speech is extemporaneous and thus you will not be allowed to read from a manuscript or notes.
